2. Features
1. This is a classical village composed of simple folk who are mainly engaged in farming.
2. This village's Tian Hou Temple (Heavenly Empress's Temple) is devoted to the worship of Tianshang Shengmu (Divine Heavenly Mother, also known as Yu'er Shengmu, or the Second Jade Divine Mother). The temple has a long history and numerous devotees. Many supplicants would make a pilgrimage to Shanshang to seek her advice, thus making this Temple a featured destination in the region.

1. National landmark: Originally Tainan Water Way (the best preserved historical landmark of Taiwan's waterworks).
2. Shanshang Tian Hou Temple (Heavenly Empress's Temple devoted to the worship of Yu'er Shengmu)
Summary: This Temple is dedicated to Tianshang Shengmu (Divine Heavenly Empress), Xuantian Shangdi (High Emperor of the Mysterious Heavens), Zhongtan Yuanshuai (Marshal Nezha of the Central Altar), Fude Zhengshen (God of Fortune and Virtues, or Earth God), and Zhusheng Niangniang (Lady of Fertility). The main seat of the Temple is reserved for Yu'er Mu, colloquially known as Er Niangniang (Second Lady). Tian Hou Temple as a grass hut built by Mr. Lin Pao to receive Her Lady's image in ages past.
